‘We are Open To Receive and Solve Disputes Arising From Kibra Nominations’, – ODM

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party says it is open to receive and resolve disputes that might have risen from the hotly contested Kibra nominations.

Benard Otieno alias Imran Okoth, a brother to the immediate former Kibra MP Ken Okoth won the nominations garnering 4382 votes.

Imran who was issued with the nomination certificate by ODM’s returning Officer Dr. Julius Oremo will battle it out with Jubilee’s MacDonald Mariga, Ford Kenya’s Eng. Khamisi Butichi, ANC’s Eliud Owalo and Democratic Party’s 26 year old Dorn Anaclet for the Kibra National Assembly seat.

Those who dispute the results of the nominations have up to 5 pm today.

ODM posted on their social media pages the following:

‘The Disputes Resolution Tribunal is open to receive appeals from yesterday’s nomination exercise in Kibra Constituency. Aspirants with any complaints should present them to Orange House today. We are open up to 5pm for the same purpose

It continued, Members of the tribunal are Ms. Jane Matoke (Advocate of the High Court), Mr. Opondo Katieno (Advocate of the High Court) and Mr. Jotham Nyukuri. The team is expected to sit, listen and make determinations as soon as possible’
