This year, 2020, February has 29 days as opposed to 28 and so women around the world should take this to flip the traditional proposal on its head.

The tradition began in the 5th century, an Irish nun St. Bridget was not happy with women having to wait for their men to pull the act together and so she lured St. Patrick to allow women to propose instead and Bridget succeeded in creating a purpose for the day that only comes every four years.
