Widow Blames Papa Shirandula’s Death on Karen Hospital, Calls out Negligence

The wife of the late actor Charles Bukeko, popularly known for his role in Citizen TV’s Papa Shirandula show has now blamed the death of her husband on negligence by the Karen Hospital.

At the celebrated actor’s funeral on Monday morning. Beatrice Andega said the facility’s negligence may have led to his death.

While mourning her husband, she stated that the hospital staff did not attend to her husband in good time when she took him for treatment on Saturday, the fateful day.

“They didn’t consider his condition an emergency and he died while we were at the waiting bay,” she said. “When he went to the hospital, he requested for three tests of malaria, pneumonia, and Covid-19 but the hospital concentrated only on COVID and ignored the rest,” Ms. Andega added.

While speculations are nigh that the actor succumbed to the novel coronavirus, his father Cosmas Bukeko has denied the claims

“For now l cannot say anything about his illness until we sit with the hospital. I’ll travel to Nairobi and together with his wife, we shall engage a lawyer to get proper information from the hospital,” he said.

Papa Shirandula passed on on Saturday and was laid to rest today in a brief funeral at his rural home. Rest well Icon!
