Zanzibari Coach banned and fined for ‘naked’ celebrations

A Zanzibar Premier League Coach has been banned for six months and fined Sh 20,000 for stripping naked in celebration of his team’s twin over Club Jang’ombe.

Coach Mani Gamera of Miembeni broke into crazy celebration after a 1-0 win over his former club. His video has gone viral on twitter where is seen marching up and down and to the stands where his ex-fans. He made a number of provocative and obscene gestures before pulling down his pants.

It forced the involvement of the security to intervene and cut short his provocative and obscene celebrations. They  marshaled him away as he was still carried shoulder high and as he kept aggressively gesturing to opposing fans.

A publication in Zanzibar reported that Gamera’s actions were in response to being rejected by Club Jang’ombe.
