The late flamboyant businessman and socialite Ginimbi, real name Genius Kadungure, cause of death is finally clear through his autopsy.
Ginimbi’s autopsy shows that he died from internal bleeding after sustaining severe injuries from the accident.
This revelation pours cold water on allegations that the businessman died after gunmen shot him after a driving chase leading to the accident.
Darling Kaungure, the family’s spokesperson also confirmed to Zimbabwean media outlets that he died of ‘haemorrhagic shock in polytrauma’. Ginimbi underwent a post-morterm examination on Tuesday to determine the cause of his death.
Haemorrhagic shock in polytrauma occurs when the body begins to shut down after excessive bleeding.
If a person undergoes severe burns, gunshot wounds, deep cuts and traumatic amputations, then they are likely to experience haemorrhagic shock in polytrauma.
Not receiving immediate medical attention to stop the bleeding propels the haemorrhagic shock in polytrauma and eventually death.
According to eyewitnesses on the accident scene, Ginimbi survived the road accident as he was pulled out of his car alive.
However, he died a few minutes afterwards.
The car burst into flames immediately Ginimbi made out of it.
His three friends who were with him; Mitchelle “Moana” Amuli, Malawian Limumba Karim, and Alichia Adams, a popular Mozambican model were trapped in the car.
The three could not make it out and were burnt alive beyond recognition when the vehicle exploded.
Ginimbi and his friends lost their lives after his Rolls-Royce hit a Honda Fit, veered off the road and unfortunately hit a tree on Sunday morning.
His family held his burial seven days after his demise on his Domboshava mansion.
According to media reports, Ginimbi had instructed his family not to bury him in haste.
This would be crucial seeing many people would come from all over the world to say their goodbyes.
