105,103 or 95! Moi’s Life Was Switched Off Just Like His Bloody Rule

Moi, who enjoyed 24 years of mysterious murders across the nation, the woke than his rule were his biggest enemies. The old man is gone, the dead are neither guilty nor innocent so we are only left to remember them from the most impactful deeds to or that affected our lives. Most of people suffered under Moi’s dictatorship-era– I don’t know about those who enjoyed it, ask the Moi-look-alike Lee Njiru. Is his age really important?

Pain and Suffering may have prompted the Moi Family to seek mercy killing. Mercy Killing is also referred to as Euthanasia or Assisted Suicide. Medical sources define euthanasia as the act of bringing about the death of a hopelessly ill and suffering person in a relatively quick and painless way for reasons of mercy.

Even the Moi family is confused about themselves! Moi look-alike longest press sec Lee Njiru, who says is from Embu says Mzee was 106 years and Raymond Moi says His father was 105. Local media had reported earlier that Mzee was 95 years old.

“We read in the magazines and newspapers that Mzee was 95 years old, but Mzee was not 95 and I think many of you have surmised that,” said Raymond.

Which is which? See what I’m talking about? We are talking about a man who ruled this country for 24 years. A man that we can’t learn anything clear from him, yes anything and I will tell you why– If we learn anything from the old man the State will be torn apart. It’s that dark, consult your history…

In a nutshell, We don’t know the history of one or probably all of our leaders. Yes, they all have some scraped off history. Our first President that Oginga Odinga gave us betrayed the Mau Mau cause. He was playing for both teams in the fight against colonial rule. What was his name by the way? Kamau Wa Ngegi of Mau Mau and Jomo Kenyatta the collaborator. The Movement was Uma Uma( a Kikuyu phrase meaning Leave Leave)…

Fast forward to Uhuru Kenyatta the son of the late first President. The Kapenguria six still can’t get exactly how the then exiled Kenyatta had conjugal rite with Mama Ngina. Mzee was exiled in Lodwar in 1961. Then There is Edna Clarke, Grace Wanjiku and Grace Wahu, nobody talks about them…

Back to Daniel Moi, Over 10 churches that converged for the service praised the late president for uniting the country during his time in power and added that even in his death he had managed to unite the country. I don’t get it, why is the Church turning a blind eye on the Wagalla Massacre? Religion that judges humans, ‘they were not in Church!‘.

In 1975, Moi had assured Parliament that JM Kariuki was alive and on a business trip to Zambia in a private plane. Only to apologize to the nation and offered to resign if he were linked to the disappearance and assassination. Then came the assassination of then Foreign Affairs Minister Robert Ouko in 1990.

On the morning of Tuesday, February 13, 1990, Kenyans were thrown into shock with the shooting of Foreign Affairs and International Relations Minister Robert Ouko.

In February 1988, wildlife photographer Julie Ward, 28, left her home in Suffolk for a seven-month trip. On September 7, 1988, Julie disappeared from her campsite at the Masai Mara game reserve. The late Jonathan Moi, son of former President Moi, denied involvement in the killing after claims emerged that he was involved.

Outspoken Anglican Bishop Alexander Muge was, like many other church leaders, a marked man during the Moi regime. The cleric together with Bishop Henry Okullu had been warned by Labour Minister Peter Okondo not to set foot in Busia District where they had a scheduled function. They defied the order and were eliminated. James Lando Khwatenge a former intelligence officer told the Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission that Muge was killed by security agents and the accident was a cover-up.

Father John Kaiser was a harsh critic of the Moi administration, accusing it of fueling the 1991-92 ethnic violence in the Rift Valley. In 1998, Kaiser testified before the Akiwumi Commission where he accused Moi and other senior government officials of being responsible for the ethnic violence. On August 23rd 2000,  Kaiser was found lying by the side of a road in Naivasha with a gunshot wound to the head.

Student leader Titus Adungosi, popularly known as Tito, a third-year student of architecture at the University of Nairobi and Sonu chairman in 1982 when rebels of the Kenya Air Force launched a failed coup to topple the Moi regime. He let demos in support of the rebels, he was later arrested and jailed in December 1988, just 2 months before he completes his 10 years jail term, Adungosi died in mysterious circumstances.

Wagalla massacre

The Moi government put the official number of dead at 57, eyewitnesses claim as many as 5,000 people were killed. The Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission, which was set up to investigate human rights violations and other historical injustices in Kenya, stated in its report last year that “close to a thousand” people were killed in Wagalla.

There are so many unexplained murders and political assassinations, they all remain a mystery just like his actual age. If we don’t know his age, how sure are we that we know his origin? Where did Moi come from politically? Who are his political friends? He said Nyayo will ruin the country for 100 years, I feel torn apart for any sane person who thinks any Moi mentored politician has better thinks for this country. Moi invested much in his 8-4-4 system to generate many ‘learned fools’ a clever way of making fool of the already illiterate society.

His age never matters now, he was alive and in leadership, he never bothered to tell the Nation and see what is happening, he never told his children. His life was cut short, all alleged assassinations and those that survived the ruthlessness are of the opinion that he was killed just like a killer he was. Other people lived on his mercy and when his turn was up, his life was taken away from him by the mercy of his children. He left the country with the wolf slogan–Humans are the cruelest creatures.
