497 people have tested positive to the disease, from a sample size of 5,117 tested in the last 24 hours.
Kenya’s positivity rate stands at 9.7%.
Out of the new cases 492 are Kenyans while five are foreigners with 282 being males and 215 are females.
The youngest is a six-month-old-baby while the oldest is 96 years.

Total confirmed positive cases are now 159,318 and cumulative tests so far conducted are 1,669,552.
Distribution of positive cases by age is as follows; 0-9 years (10), 10-19 years (22), 20-29 years (84), 30-39 years (105), 40-49 years (97), 50-59 years (71), 60 and above (108).
17 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, 13 of them occurred on diverse dates within the last one month and 4 are late death reports from facility record audits.
This now pushes cumulative fatalities to 2,724.

441 patients have recovered from the disease, 366 from Home Based and Isolation Care, while 75 are from various health facilities countrywide.
Total recoveries now stand at 108,565 of which 79,057 are from Home Based Care and Isolation while 29,508 are from various health facilities.
A total of 1,311 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 6,650 patients are on Home Based Isolation and Care.
188 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 32 of whom are on ventilatory support and 120 on supplemental oxygen and 36 patients are under observation.
Another 137 patients are separately on supplemental oxygen with 130 of them in general wards and 7 in High Dependency Units (HDU).
Vaccination
As of Friday, a total of 876,708 persons have so far been vaccinated against the COVID-19 disease countrywide.
Of these 271,079 are aged 58 years, Health workers are 157,211, Teachers 135,957, Security Officers 73,544 while 238,917 are in the Others category.
