Kenya recorded 735 new Covid-19 cases on Saturday from a sample size of 5,758 tested in the last 24 hours.
The country’s positivity rate is at 12.8%.
The total number of confirmed cases in Kenya now stands at 160,053 from a cumulative test of 1,675,310 conducted since March.
Of the new cases, 634 are Kenyans while 101 are foreigners with 429 being male while 306 females were confirmed to have contracted the virus.

The youngest is an eight-month-old-baby while the oldest is 97 years.
224 patients have recovered from the disease, 177 from the Home-Based Care Program, while 47 have been discharged from various hospitals. The total number of recoveries now stands at 108,789 of which 79,234 are from Home Based Care and Isolation while 29,555 are from various health facilities.
20 patients have succumbed to the virus during the same period. The total number of fatalities due to Covid-19 now stands at 2,744.
A total of 1,304 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities across the country while another 6,648 are on Home Based Isolation and Care.
According to Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, 188 patients are in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 31 are on ventilatory support, and 113 on supplemental oxygen with 44 patients on observation.
A further 137 patients are separately on supplementary oxygen with 130 of them being admitted in the general wards. Seven patients is in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).
The Health Ministry has so far vaccinated a total of 884,858 persons against the Covid-19 disease countrywide.
Of these 515,288 are aged 58 years and above, Health Workers 157,967, Teachers 137,348 while Security Officers 74,272.
