Kenya Prisons women’s Volleyball team finished third at the Africa women’s Volleyball club Championship after overcoming Customs of Nigeria in the third place play off in Tunis, Tunisia.
Prisons won in three straights sets of 25-18,25-18 and 25-14 to grab bronze for the second time in the championship that they have won five times.
Prisons head coach David Lung’aho reckoned the third place finish was deserved since they faced a formidable opponent in Customs.
‘We played against a tough team they even beat Kenya Pipeline in their group matches, we were strong in defense, strong in attack , and in everything we never made mistakes that’s why we won that match. I am happy for the players who played very well ,their dedication and the dedication to ensure that the team won the match and ensured that we won the medal’’, Lung’aho said.
