Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have found the lifeless body of Phyllis Jepleting, a Maths/Biology first year student at Karatina University inside Ezra Kipkemoi’s house at Naka Estate, Nakuru County, on January 1.
Jepleting becomes the second female university student to be found dead in her lovers’s house after another student, Victoria Muthoni Theuri, from Kenyatta University was found dead in her boyfriend’s house in Kahawa Wendani, Kiambu County on December 1.
Police are now hunting for Mr. Kipkemoi after his girlfriend, a 19-year-old university student, was found dead at his house. Nakuru County DCI boss Anthony Sunguti said the body was discovered after neighbors raised alarm over a foul smell coming from the man’s house.
Preliminary investigations have not established the motive behind the killing but the suspect is a person of interest who has kept his mobile phone switched off since Boxing Day.
