Renowned real estate scammer Andrew Kamau has resurfaced with a PR machinery like none other.
Being close to an election year, Andrew Kamau seeks to cash in on the windfall from the monies coming in from the campaigns. Banda Homes was on Sunday, 25th July 2021, being advertised on Twitter under #NyumbaNiBanda hashtag.
It looks favorable, but there’s a catch. Once a conman, always a conman.
His firm, Banda Homes have not changed a bit.
In 2020, Andrew Kamau blamed the failure to build houses for those people that had paid on the ravages of the Covid-19 pandemic.
It was a well-orchestrated scheme, where he had sweet-talked buyers who pumped in their money in Oak Park Estate, Rosewood Estate and Pinewood Estate, all along Kenyatta Road off Thika Superhighway.
Each investor was swindled out of at least Ksh3.9 million for the 1000 units that never materialized in the estates.
NOT even a single house has been handed over to the owner, with most structures lying incomplete with no signs of completion any time soon.
“I bought a house through Banda Homes in 2018, and I completed my payments as agreed and the delivery date was last year in April or May but the house is far from being complete,” says Anthony Kariuki, one of the home buyers sharing his pain in 2020.
The same allegations arose in February 2019, but they were somehow downplayed and investors that had raised concerns were silenced.

As usual, through some kind of laxity in the authorities. Banda Homes and its scamming founder Andrew Kamau got away. Authorities are waiting for more Kenyans to be swindled so as to move to be seen to be doing something.
Feud with a member of the Kenyatta family
Banda Homes had also been involved in a tussle with Kathleen Kihanya, a member of the Kenyatta family, over ownership of the prime land on which the developer hoped to put up a Ksh1 billion estate for sale. Kihanya, President Uhuru Kenyatta’s cousin, claimed Banda Homes had misled potential buyers on the land.
According to Humphrey Miano, Andrew Kamau is a well-known con.
“This is the same guy who was selling plots next to Thika power station as Vesture investment. He took my money and closed office. Upon looking for him with Thika cops he bribed them and they helped him hide. He is the guy. A very dangerous con thief.”
A wife beater
In 2020, Andrew Kamua assaulted his wife. This was caught on video and photos, it was so bad that the lady was rushed to Aga Khan Hospital.
“I have pictures of her in the OR. She came in wasted from what looked like a thorough clobbering. The husband was not with her when she was brought in,” a source from the Hospital was quoted as saying.
Andrew Kamau’s family is reported to have serious criminal cases for ages! His other brother killed his wife in cold blood before committing suicide.
He is a Brother to the late lawyer Paul Magu Muhiu, who committed cult killings of his wife and 3 children, before committing suicide back in 2015).
In 2014, The story of city Lawyer Paul Magu Muhiu shook the Nation after it was discovered that he killed his own family under unclear circumstances.
According to the Citizen, After the death of Magu who was a wealthy lawyer is said to have left the pastor with all his belongings which included a Lexus, and Parcels of land.
How/where does he get the energy to scam millions of investors then channel the same energy in punching the beauty out of his wife?
