Yesterday, kenyanbulletin.com wrote an article titled “How Raila foiled plot to assassinate President Uhuru – Uganda blog claims”.

Africa-Confidential the supposed writer of the original article has released a statement distancing itself from the article.

The london-based world’s leading fortnightly newsletter on politics in Africa wrote:

“#False report of an #assassination attempt against President Kenyatta of #Kenya. A story circulating on social media today purportedly of a story published by Africa Confidential with the headline “The Plot to Assassinate Uhuru” is a fabrication”

In January 2019, opposition leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta attend the burial ceremony of former Youth Enterprise Development Fund (YEDF) boss Bruce Odhiambo after which at the airport something pecualiar happens.

Before Uhuru Kenyatta boarded his plane at the Kisumu Airport, Raila Odinga who was standing in line to bid him farewell as is the custom pulled him aside as if to tell him something, then they went to a waiting car and they drove off without security to an undisclosed location.

The vehicle has to manoeuvre its way through uncleared traffic into Kisumu CBD.
