Soy Member of Parliament Caleb Kositany and Deputy President William Ruto ardent supporter Caleb Kositany has broken his silence, talking on vying for the Uasin Gishu County gubernatorial position in 2022 general elections.

Speaking while he appeared on the hot seat,
Kositany revealed that it was not something on his plans, but his County people
have constantly asked him to be their next boss.

The DP Ruto defacto spokesman continued that there was a lot of pressure around that discussions and he would soon make up his mind around the same when the time comes and relay the same soon.

Kositany added that the people of Uasin Gishu are very intelligent to have said No to the other candidates who had declared their interest in the same seat and settled on him, and as such would soon consider their decision.

“The people of Uasin Gishu have asked me to run for governor. It was not in my plans but the discussion is very heavy, the pressure is enormous. I will make that decision when the time comes and I believe the people of Uasin Gishu are very intelligent for them to have looked at all other aspirants who have already declared and say No, the one who can handle us and Uasin Gishu well is Caleb Kositany, I wish to say I’m considering their opinion and very soon I’ll make that known,” said Kositany.

The current Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Kiplagat Mandago is currently serving his last term in office, while his opponent and closest challenger in the last general election Bundotich Zedekiah Kiprop alias Buzeki is also keen on replacing him as the next County chief.
