Corrupt KPA manager faints in hotel washroom

Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) corrupt manager in charge of marine operations Geoffrey Namadoa, an ally of the troubled acting managing director John Mwangemi recently fainted in the washrooms of a Mombasa hotel.

Namadoa became a worried man after he abused his office, mistreated stakeholders and colluded with KPA cartels including Mwangemi to defraud the State Agency during the retired regime.

Other tainted managers in his ring of cartels have began moving their personal belongings from their officers after new Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen vowed to dismantle them and bring sanity in the management of KPA.

There had been major structural changes and illegal expansion of top management to cover shady deals and force  other officials into early retirement.

The changes announced by Mwangemi saw the appointment of Lamu Port general manager Abdulahi Samatar as the new general manager Infrastructure Development, replacing Vincent Sidai.

Namadoa, a former naval officer was also elevated from his position of principal marine officer to general manager of Marine Operations.

General manager human resource and administration Daniel Ogutu whose contract had expired and was forcing an extension through the backdoor was also replaced by Edward Kamau who initially served as the general manager of Corporate Services.

Kamau is lobbying to become the new Managing Director after it emerged that Mwangemi is no longer reporting to work and has quit over fears that Murkomen will show him the door.

The 53 year docker has been meeting Kikuyu businessmen with interests at the Mombasa Port after word made rounds that all managers who have attained the age of 55 years will be kicked out.

The acting MD Mwangemi stands no chance since he was part of the team that coerced KPA board to illegally create a bloated structure that saw the addition of 14 positions to deputize him.

He has been at war with a section of Coast politicians allied to the Kenya Kwanza regime including the former Lungalunga MP Khatibare Mwashetani who is lobbying for Sudi Mwasinago to be appointed the substantial MD.

Mwasinago is the current general manager at the onland container depot but his main obstacle is his closeness to former Mombasa governor Hassan Joho which will still keep him in the pockets of cartels.
