Health CAS Rashid Aman has announced 176 new COVID-19 cases in Kenya bringing the total to 6,366.
The patients are from a sample size of 2,419 tested in the last 24 hours.
According to Dr. Aman, all the latest cases are Kenyans: 100 are male and 76 are female.
The youngest is a 3-year-old child while the oldest is 78.
Nairobi has 99 cases, Mombasa 20, Kiambu 17, Migori 13, Uasin Gishu 10, Kajiado 4, Busia 4, Kilifi 3, Machakos 2, Narok 1, Kakamega 1 and Kisumu 1.
Total cumulative samples tested since March now stands at 169,836.
In the last 24 hours, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has risen to 148 after four more patients succumbed to the virus.
However, in the same period, 26 patients were discharged bringing total recoveries to 2,039
