Twenty four more people have tested positive for Covid-19, taking the country’s total number of confirmed cases to 435.
While issuing the daily Covid-19 presser at Afya House on Saturday, May 2, Health CAS Dr Mercy Mwangangi announced that 1,925 individuals had been tested for the virus over the last 24 hours.
Of the 24 cases,10 are men, 14 are female.
“7 cases are from Kawangware, 10 from Eastleigh, 5 from Mombasa and 2 from Kuria,” the CAS stated.
Mwangangi added that the number of those who had recovered were 2, bringing the total number to 152.
Sadly, the CAS announced that one more person had lost her life bringing the number to 22.
