Covid-19: Kenya confirms 960 more as numbers shoot to 17603

The number of coronavirus cases in Kenya now stand at 176,03 after the country confirmed 960 more people who tested positive from 8261 samples. Two more patients succumbed to the covid-19 disease bringing the numbers of deaths to 280.

The number reported was the highest number of positive cases reported within 24hrs since the first case in was reported in mid March.

From of the new cases reported today, 952 are Kenyans while eight are foreign nationals. 604 are males while 356 are females. The youngest patient is one year old and the oldest is 88 years.

Kenya also registered 169 recoveries bringing the numbers to 7,743 so far. 83 are from the hospitals/isolation centres and the other 86 are from home based care.
