DCI arrests 2 National Police Reserve officers

DCI detectives have arrested 2 national police reservists in Mandera county over cold-blooded murders in their hands.
Completion of investigations where two men were on June 21, 2021 shot dead by National Police Reservists (NPR) in Mandera‘s Elwak area has today seen three NPR officers arrested.
Ali Abdi Ali, Mohamed Ibrahim Issack and Ahmed Mohamed Abdilatif were arrested by Elwak-based DCI detectives, to be charged with the cold-blood murder of Kulow Adfan Hassan and Ahmed Abdi Garad.
On a fateful evening, the trio was reported to have shot at a Toyota Succeed ferrying passengers through Elwak Dololo Road en route to Wajir, a shooting that left two occupants dead.
The driver had then driven to Elwak Police Station and reported the incident, where the search for the perpetrators and subsequent investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting was initiated.
The arrest of the three suspects who had since been positively identified by the survivors of the shooting was the culmination of a scrupulous investigation, and are pending arraignment for relevant charges.
