Pictures have surfaced on social media of a puported surveillance drone that crash landed last weekend in Eldas, Wajir County, Northeast Kenya.

The device is military grade UAV judging by its ISR camera and configuration. This means means it belongs to a military entity.

As expected in the age of technology, Local youth allegedly rushed to the scene and took pictures.

The controversial pictures have sparked dialogue among Kenyans who are now worried about the birds in the sky constantly spying on them.

Others have taken the opportunity to try and figure out which country the spy device originates.

“That’s a locally made Ethiopian drone. They have been using these in Tigray. How this is in Kenya either means Ethiopia is spying on us. Or we have bought some and using them.” A user on a local forum said.

While everyone can’t wrap their fingers around what the device is, there has been no official communication from the Kenyan Government.
