The system aims to simplify and speed up the compensation process for victims of human-wildlife conflict.

The digital system is expected to improve claim efficiency, provide better access to information, and increase transparency.

It will also minimize delays, fostering trust in affected communities.

“One key improvement for compensating human-wildlife conflict victims is the introduction of a Digital Compensation Scheme Administration.

This system brings benefits like streamlining processes, boosting transparency, and offering easier access to claim details.

These changes will reduce delays and build confidence in the communities we serve,” CS Miano stated.

She acknowledged existing hurdles, noting challenges such as limited resources and low awareness among communities.

“As we recognize our progress, we must address challenges ahead. These involve resource constraints and a lack of knowledge in affected communities.

Innovative methods to generate resources and widespread education programs are necessary to mitigate risks. Preventive initiatives will lessen the burden on vulnerable groups and reduce government expenses related to compensation,” she explained.

CS Miano emphasized the importance of community-focused efforts and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to resolving human-wildlife conflicts.

“Our communities remain the focus of our work. The Ministry is making progress in resolving human-wildlife conflicts, with the introduction of the Digital Compensation Scheme simplifying claims. These changes aim to reduce delays and ensure that our actions are visible, meaningful, and acknowledged positively,” she concluded.
