Kelvin Rono, aide to Deputy President William Ruto has broken silence after rumours of his death in an grisly road accident emerged.
Rono confirmed that he is still alive hours after his death rumours made rounds online.
Speaking to a local punlication affiliated to Kenyanbulletin.com, Rono slammed the death allegations and felt disappointed by the false reports of his death.
“I am alive and at work. I am with the boss (DP William Ruto) in Bahati (Nairobi). My parents are calling me. Everyone is calling me and I’m worried,” Rono said in a phone conversation.
The hoax came after a man died on the spot when his vehicle – a Mercedes E350 – swerved off Langata Road on Sunday morning.
Langata Deputy OCPD John Samburumo said the accident may have been as a result of drunk driving.
A search in the NTSA portal shows that the car involved in the accident, KCX 734B, belonged to David Kipruto Rono.
