EXPOSE: How KNBS is mistreating census ICT and content supervisors

Kenyanbulletin.com news desk has received exclusive information on how KNBS is mistreating census content supervisors posted in Nairobi county.

Our source who sought to remain anonymous revealed that they have only received Ksh. 15000 salary advance. The source also revealed that they were promised an allowance of Ksh. 2000 for 11 days with is yet to be paid.

After KNBS got wind of a plan by the content supervisors to strike and address the media over their unpaid dues, KNBS deposited money in their accounts but later realized that no content nor ICT supervisor was paid.

“KNBS is really mistreating the people conducting the census. The ICT  supervisors in Nairobi were only paid 15000, an advance from their salary. We were promised an allowance of 2000 for 11 days and credit which is yet to be seen. Other countries received their payments.

The content supervisors in Nairobi have been planning a strike and an address to the media, as soon as KNBS got a wind of this, money was deposited in their account yesterday night. This means that the money was there. Sorry, I’ve just confirmed that the content supervisors haven’t reviewed their pay. It was a PR stunt.

No one is fighting for the ICT supervisors who are deep in debt because of this exercise that required moving around the sub location and contacting your teams.

It’s really unfair since some of us were depending on the money promised which was allowance, 22k plus a salary advance of 20k. ICT supervisors are being taken for a ride because they’re few in numbers. Please assist us…. Census is coming to an end tommorow. Please please fight for us.”
