27th March Update: Rabai MP William Kamoti tests positive for Coronavirus, Premier hospital in Msa confirms. He had contacted Kilifi DG Saburi! All medical staff in contact with MP put on isolation by the hospital
Rabai Mp William Kamoti has been admitted to a Mombasa hospital with breathing problems. He is said to be the first MP to meet with the now confirmed COVID-19 positive Kilifi Deputy Governor Gideon Saburi.
The MP had been experiencing breathing problems for the last two days. Kenyan Bulletin’s sources have confirmed that the Rabai legislator had to be admitted to the hospital after his condition worsened.
The news comes after his ally Kilifi deputy Governor Gideon Saburi was tested positive for coronavirus. The legislator had several meetings with the deputy governor after the German trip.
The Mp is among those in the list who mingled with DG Gideon Saburi as mentioned by the Kilifi governor Amason Kingi and who were supposed to self-quarantine.
He was still waiting for results after the COVID-19 test that have now come positive. Hon. Kamoti had many instances with the Deputy Governor who happened to reside in his constituency, Rabai.

Kilifi Deputy Governor Gideon Saburi is set to be charged in court- after the treatment and quarantine period elapse-for opposing a government directive and as a public servant to self-quarantine after he returned to the country from Germany.
The government had earlier ordered that any person entering the country from a destination with confirmed cases of coronavirus should proceed on self-quarantine.
The Health CS Mutahi Kagwe directed public servants to follow the directives as possible while confirming that the Deputy governor had tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Saburi is said to have traveled to Germany mid-February and jetted back March 6, 2020, via Amsterdam.On March 7, the deputy governor met a group of Rabai MCAs at Royal Hotel in Mazeras for preparations of the International Women’s Day function in Rabai.
