Five Pakistani nationals apprehended by Anti-Terror Police Units and the DCI in Kisumu over the weekend have been transferred to Nairobi as inquiries into their motives continue.
The suspects were transferred to Nairobi, according to county police commander Samuel Anampiu, for ease of processing.
He claims they initially ran into language barriers, necessitating the use of an interpreter.
According to Anampiu, the immigration department had already been contacted to authenticate their papers.
The suspects, who are said to have crossed the Ugandan border into Kenya, were apprehended over the weekend after the ATPU and the DCI conducted a successful operation.
The raid caused a traffic snarl-up at Ahero where the police teams laid an ambush and arrested the foreigners as they attempted to escape.
