Gor Mahia has booked a slot in the FKF Cup semi-finals after beating Kariobangi Sharks 2-0 on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at the Utalii Grounds.
Kariobangi Sharks were awarded a freekick in the 33rd minute that was taken by Doughlas Mokaya, however, it went wide maintaining the scores at 0-0. Seven minutes later, Gor Mahia was also awarded a freekick which Kenneth Muguna took, but the Kariobangi Sharks defense cleared it off.
In the 44th minute, Abdul Karim skilled past the Kariobangi Sharks defense giving Gor Mahia the lead just before the half-time whistle that closed the scores at 1-0.
After the breather, Kariobangi Sharks captain Geoffrey Shiveka missed a chance to equalize the scores from the spot in the 62nd minute, retaining the scores at 1-0.
Three minutes past stoppage time, Sydney Ochieng shot on target bagging the second goal for Gor Mahia that sealed the full-time scores at 2-0.
Meanwhile, at the Ruaraka Grounds, Bidco United also booked a slot in the semi-finals after edging Nairobi City Stars 1-0 through David Orem’s lone goal in the 21st minute.
