Gov. Joho’s message to DP Ruto on Kibra elections from hospital bed

Gov. Joho’s message to DP Ruto on Kibra elections from hospital bed

Sickly Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho on Friday took a jibe at Deputy President William Ruto over the just concluded Kibra by-election.

Playing on the ‘bedroom’ analogy that was adopted by the ODM side for the heated election, Governor Joho told the DP that he would have seen the loss coming.

“We knew it was going to go that way…Those others never knew that before you get into the bedroom you have to pass through a gate, the living room and many other doors before you get to the bedroom,” Governor Joho advised.

The Mombasa governor did not talk much about the illness that has him hospitalized at Mombasa Hospital but he revealed that he was not enjoying his admission.

“I have been watching this TV yaani naomba Mungu nasema ningetoka hapa, wacha tu. But God is good.

“What has given more strength and makes me feel better is the results of Kibra. But I will be in Kibra soon to celebrate with my brother Imran,” he assured.

Some reports indicate that the Governor was taken ill with a bout of malaria with his communications director Richard Chacha stating that he was admitted on Wednesday.

He was visited by Nigerian ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, Mvita MP Abdulswamad Sharrif Nassir among other individuals.
