Healthcare workers flying on Kenya Airways flights can now enjoy up to 50% off in Business and Economy class, the airline has said.
KQ said that the move is meant to celebrate the Kenya’s medical heroes through this offer that will allow them to book tickets by Sep 30, 2020 to over 20 destinations.
One must be a front-line health workers with an ID which must be shown at the time of purchase and at check-in. A scanned copy of the ID will also be sent to the Contact Centre for telephone purchases.
The national carrier noted that up to two free changes are permitted.
“Cancellations or refunds before departure permitted free of charge, not permitted after departure,” KQ said.
The move comes after the airlines net loss for the six months ended June 2020 increased by 67.3% to Sh14.33 billion, which they attributed to Covid-19 pandemic that led to disruptions of business and grounding of flights.
Kenya began gradual resumptions of both domestic and international flights in July after President Uhuru Kenyatta announced that domestic flights will resume on July 15 while international flights will resume on August 1.
The resumption has been in strict conformity with all the guidelines and protocols introduced by the Ministry of Health and civil aviation authorities to curb the spread of the virus.
