How a Man varnished with Kes3.6 million Gold

Migori County Police commander has launched a man who stole gold worth Ksh.3.1 million shillings from his employer.

Nyatike Sub County police commander Dorothy Mugarusha said the suspect stole 474.46 grams of gold before fleeing.

The employer, Ali Mwamu, reported the matter to police following the incident at Osiri Matanda area.

“I was away in Mandera and left him in charge of the mines. He however took advantage of my absence and stole from me,” Mwamu told the source.

Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt for the suspect, who had worked for his employer for at least 6 years.

“We are pursuing the suspect behind the theft of gold from his employer in a bid to bring him to book,” police said.
