Here is a simple recipe that will give you a homemade mosquito Repellent that works instantly.
We just came from terribly cold months of July and August and as we step into the warmer time of the year, mosquitoes seem to enjoy visiting our yards and gardens— for city dwellers, your balconies and bathrooms are the meeting and breeding zones.
This is why repelling them can easily become our top priority. Here is how to do it with ingredients that are always available at you kitchen counters.
The Environmental Protection Agency reports that there are over 3,000 different species of mosquitoes in the world.
Their activity starts when overnight temperatures start to stay above 50 degrees, and despite their itchy bites, they can also carry diseases.
In Kenya, there are an estimated 3.5 million new clinical cases and 10,700 deaths each year due to Malaria.
So many marginalised areas across Kenya have high risk of malaria. As it does in many countries around the world, CDC has worked closely with the Kenya’s Ministry of Health to fight malaria.
Fortunately, even though the different species have different activity patterns and feeding preferences, they all share the same basic life cycle and habitat preferences, we can control them all the same way.
Following this recipe for a homemade mosquito repellent will save your summer and help you prevent those annoying itchy mosquito bites
Ingredients:
- 10 drops of lemon eucalyptus oil
- 15 drops of lavender oil
