Is it so distressing for a senior Government Officer when his watu wa mkono are more qualified, experienced, competent, have local and international accolades?
A minister in the IC sector is in distress after a CEO in one of the parastatals has come out as a darling of the UN and international bodies due to her passion and experience on Cybersecurity. The CEO has also been consulted by the presidency on the ICT solutions and country solutions on the COVID -19 situation in the country.
The minister is having sleepless nights as he figures out how to cut the re-known Dr. wings, the Dr. who has cut a niche for herself in cyberspace security, the minister was recently reported shouting at her and her Chairman (a re-known advocate) at the Radisson Blue hotel to the amazement of the hotel staff and revellers.
The petite arrogant minister who is reported to have marriage troubles seems to be getting it all out on the two and has threatened to sack them if they do not resign. The board has considered extending her contract by 3 years but the minister is keen to end it as soon as possible. The word on the street is that the president and the state have touted the Dr. as a possible replacement to the arrogant minister whose only credit was being CEO of an international franchise of a well-known brand but has nothing else to show in terms of innovation. The minister has resulted to hanging on Matiang’i’s coat even when the matter being dealt by Matiang’i do not involve ICT ministry, he believes the deep state will save him when the hour of reckoning comes with the looming cabinet reshuffle where non-performing ministers will be shown the door.
The two executives with a high level of integrity have resisted corrupt deals in the heavily funded parastatal to the tune of over Sh1.5 billion, that is in charge of the Digital learning program and the laying of the fiber optic cable (NOFBI) in the far-flung Northern counties, it is for this reason that the minister wants her replaced with a sycophant as he is drooling from the millions he would have made from the parastatal.
We have learnt the Chairman, who was once the president’s lawyer in a presidential petition provides the services to the parastatal Pro-bono for fear of being tainted.
Shame on Mr. Minister for shouting at Women. This is so old school, archaic and uncivilized. No wonder you cannot sustain a marriage; no wonder he is always in the company of young girls the age of his daughter.
The president ought to know those sabotaging his agenda from his backyard with their thieving Ideas.
Kenyans against violation of women rights,
Kenyans against corruption,
Concerned Kenyans.
