Incompetence and Negligence In Time Of Coronavirus In Narok

Narok County under Governor Samuel Kuntai Ole Tunai is in a failed state.

Despite the county government raking in money from the Maasau Mara National Reserve, the county is poor and infrastructure is nonexistent or delapidated.

In this time when Coronavirus is ravaging the world, hundreds of Kenyans are sick, the county govt still knows one language, Greed.

It is open knowledge, since it has been reported in numerous mainstream and social media that Maasau Mara Game Reserve whovh makes billions of money per year is a cash-cow for the few members of the the Tunai Family.

The editor of Kenyanbulletin.com received a distress call from a resident of the county about the pathetic state of the health facilities in the county.

The resident wrote, “Narok Health facilities in narok County is pathetic  since devolution. Mortuary is the worst ever on earth, bodies lying on floor with no disinfectants?. The last time recruitment of health workers was done was in 2014. There’s total shortage despite huge allocation of money every financial year. Today (a few weeks ago) my friend lost unborn baby because of negligence due to shortage of qualified personnel working day and night”.

The looters of Narok County

Health CEC Morgan was transferred from the Finance docket IN December 2019 because of scandals. It was reported That he had a series of affair with Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga. The CEC funded the senator’s lavish lifestyle using money stopped from the county.

Morgan also had a series of friends and company that he owns through proxies that often won contracts in the county. This rot had been transferred to the Health Ministry.

The second person is County Chief Officer (CO) for Education in Narok County Government Mr. Philip Neranto Tipaa who is said to own a couple of flats and hotels around the county which his salary cannot match.

The third person is Elizabeth Lolchoki, the county’s secretary and powerful lady. She reportedly owns apartments in Ngong Town. Of course, she cannot explain the source of her wealth too. She is very powerful and decided who to promote and demote. The governor Tunai trusts her so much because of her banking background and money laundering brains.

The fourth person is Chief of Staff Fred Ntekerei who handles the governor’s cash. Mr Ntekerei is said to be the brains behind how the money is moved, shared and concealed.

Fifthly, there’s a lady by the name Resian Victoria Sompisha, her firms win almost every tender that is floated at the county. She is also paid promptly as opposed to waiting like the other contractors. She like the county secretary Elizabeth Lolchoki also invests the monies in flats, and buildings around Maasai lands.

The sixth person is Denis Parsaloi Ole Letiet, the former powerful Chief Finance Officer – CFO for governor Samuel Tunai. Denisdespite earning Sh400k owns flats in Nairobi and Narok (building Esipil and Lathes, Coffee shop and Chillspot Hotel). The former CFO now a mere CEC also owns a fleet of 20 high-end cars. It is said that he also has companies under proxies, that win county tenders.

Then there the most powerful Member of County Assembly (MCA) Kuyo Ole Kijape, the man who calls Governor Tunai his son. He is so wealthy and owns choppers. One resident said he is filthy rich and can order a chopper to collect tomato sauce from Nairobi and bring it to Narok. He picked Tunai from NIS and made him what he is.

MCA Kijape is the driving force, the money-man that made Tunai and together they now control the vast Maasai Mara resources. They own large tracts of land full of not only wildlife but also expensive luxury lodges.

Their scandal, apart from concealing the true revenue got from Maasai Mara lodge, the choppers they own aren’t idle. They are hired to be used by the county govt especially the governor at higher costs.

The scandal at Lady Lori Aircraft rental services is that they send an invoice to Narok County disguised as travel services by revenue collection agents of Narok. The bill per week from the choppers that the governor uses is estimated at a whooping Ksh12 million

These leaders don’t care about the residents of Narok. One Narok resident puts it like this:

Narok county CEC’s, CO’s and Directors are just departmental puppets, whose work is just to spearhead programs, prepare and sign governor’s loot. They only rely on a measly Ksh.500,000 monthly department operation fund. They are very broke. Narok County MCA’s will pass any law/Bill just to be Paid by the Governor 20k with a fuel of 5k.

One thing is certain, those close to Gov Tunai are rich because they are the only one who matters according to sources. These are Fred Ntekerei, Elizabeth Lolchoki, Denis Letiet and the Governor.
