Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has not been admitted at the Aga Khan Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as earlier alleged by a local blog.
According to the Daily Star, Matiang’i had reportedly been admitted at Aga Khan’s ICU battling COVID-19. The blog further alleged the CS is said to be one of the 3 CSs who had contracted the deadly disease.
KenyanBulletin has reached out to multiple sources and can confirm that Dr. Matiang‘i is okay. He’s not admitted anywhere and is in fact he’s busy helping H. E Uhuru Kenyatta to ensure the country is safe.
The fake news had started to spread fear also claiming that the spiralling corona cases by the CSs had prompted President Uhuru Kenyatta to ban Cabinet Secretaries from engaging in political activities outside Nairobi, another piece of information the government has refuted.
Health Chief Administrative Secretary Dr. Rashid Aman yesterday dismissed earlier reports by sources inside the govt that cabinet secretaries have been barred from touring the country as part of efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease.
