Woman Reps Purity Ngirichi (Kirinyaga), Catherine Waruguru (Laikipia) and Jane Kihara (MP Naivasha Town), the MPs have called for the arrest and prosecution of three other suspects Collins Opondo, Martin Kanga,Tyson Juma, the driver and coordinator of the Wajir County National Government Affirmative Action Fund and Wajir County Women Rep Fatuma Gedi for allegedly hiring goons to attack them.
“We demand that Fatuma Gedi be interrogated and must record a statement,” said Ngirichi.
Politicians allied to the Inua Mama Jenga Taifa lobby group yesterday called for the arrest and prosecution of Gedi who has been a face of controversy since her leaked sex tape went viral on the interwebs.
The lobby group now wants Gedi to be interrogated as all individuals who have so far recorded statements with DCI have had phone conversations with her or are persons known to her. The over 20 MPs told security agencies to ensure all those involved in the matter are arrested and prosecuted for planning, financing and transporting the attackers.
Gedi, however, brushed off the allegations, saying she had nothing to do with any of violence in any part of the country.
