Officials from the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) are demanding bribes from residents of a Muranga Estate, in-order to fix their road.
The Maporomomo Road located at the border of both Kiambu and Muranga counties, has been neglected over the last seven (7) years since Uhuru got into office, with no work done on that stretch of murram.
Sources say that the corrupt Muranga Governor Mwangi wa Iria has been blocking the maintenance of the road, claiming that the estate voters belong to Kiambu and not Muranga County.
The neglect on that stretch of road is so bad, that street-lights installed by former Nairobi Metropolitan Minister Njeru Githae have since been switched off and vandalized, despite the affluent neighborhood being home to many industrialists and business owners.
Meanwhile, Uhuru is fixing lighting and roads in slums, because of his mental impotence as if they pay more taxes. But his bootleg economics are meant to destroy the middle class and manufacturing industries, spread poverty and pander to the peasants for political mileage.
To overcome the bottlenecks created by Mwangi wa Iria, KeRRA officials who have stalled the tarmacking and maintenance of the road at his behest, have been demanding bribes from residents associations, in a bid to fix the road.
Ironically, WaIria conducts his private political campaign affairs at a hotel located along Maporomoko Road called Edgewood Country Lodge. And despite using the road regularly, he has gone ahead to neglect its maintenance, and gone further ahead to influence KeRRA to divert funds meant for it elsewhere.
Because Mwangi wa Iria has looted Muranga coffers to death, he can afford to purchase high end four wheel drive cars, and can use bad roads with relative ease.
Mwangi wa Iria is currently being pursued by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) for abuse of office in influencing tenders. A High Court has also frozen two of his assets acquired with proceeds of crime.
Mr Wai Iria allegedly influenced the award of tenders in favour of Top Image Consultants ltd, a company owned by his close associates or relatives.
In the course of conducting investigations, the anti-graft body established that indeed there was an illegal award of media buying tenders by the county government at a cost of Sh542 million between 2013 and 2017.
That the company is owned by Mr Wa Iria’s associates who would subsequently transfer the funds received from the county government to him directly and indirectly through Value View Ltd.
Wa-Iria has also been creating an artificial crisis in Del Monte and Kakuzi, hoping to grab the land under the guise of redistribution to locals.
Wa-Iria exhibits the raw corruption and thuggery synonymous with both Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto, both who have reneged on every pledge they made during elections, with the only completed project being SGR and soon the Expressway in Nairobi.
What people don’t know is that both these projects are concessional and privately funded meaning that the owners will use our money paid as tolls to repay their debt.
Meaning that Uhuru has not done any meaningful project worth mentioning, but has just been stealing money to redirect to his family’s Northlands Estate.
Central Province which gave Uhuru votes down to the last man, continues to bear the brunt of his ineptitude, and the ironical part is the Kikuyu peasants who voted for UhuRuto now believe that Ruto is the solution.
