The High Court has ordered police officer Ahmed Rashid who is facing a murder charges to appear in court on the 26th of January for purpose of taking plea.
Ahmed who was supposed to appear in court today in court.
His lawyer Dunstan Omari told the court the officer has been unwell and was admitted at Madina Hospital in Eastleigh since December 5.
Omari also said the officer has not been personally served with summons.
Judge Kanyi Kimondo has deferred plea taking in the matter to January 26, 2023.
The court has directed that Sgt Rashid tables in court a medical report showing that he was hospitalized.
Rashid is accused of shooting dead criminal suspects in Eastleigh .
He was based at the pangani police station.
Meanwhile members of the muslim community thronged milimani law courts in solidarity with the suspect.
