Letter suspending KPA National Secretary General Mogere

Peter Atandi Mogere, the National Secretary General of Kenya Pharmaceutical Association – KPA has been suspended.

Here is the letter:

RE: SUSPENSION Of MR. PETER ATANDI MOGERE FROM THE OFFICE OF THE KPA NATIONAL SECRETARY GENERAL.

Reference is hereby made to a show cause letter sent to you on 24/4/2020 referenced CCMC/04/2020 demanding that you show cause why disciplinary action should not be taken against you for the charges stated in the show cause letter You were given 14 days to respond but at the lapse of the 14 days ultimatum, you failed to respond to the show cause letter and the Central Council is forced to proceed with disciplinary action against you.

Pursuant to article 4.0 sub-article Wand 4.8 sub-article (iii) of the KPA constitution, The Central Council can suspend or remove a NEC member from office after issuance of 14 days notice period to a member to state his/her case.

The central Council has followed the KPA Constitution to the letter throughout this process and therefore states as follows:

  1. That you Mr. Peter Atandi Mogere, stand suspended from the office of the National Secretary General of Kenya Pharmaceutical Association with immediate effect. You are therefore barred from transacting on behalf of KPA; any engagements, correspondences, transactions and contracts, entered through you forthwith will remain null and void.
  2. That for the interim period, the office of the Secretary-General of the Kenya Pharmaceutical Association will be held in acting capacity by the Deputy Secretary-General pending the resolution and ratification of the AGM.
  3. That the Central Council will put a public notice through the mayor dailies to caution any stakeholders from transacting with you on behalf of Kenya Pharmaceutical Association.
  4. That in the interim period all the engagements, correspondences and transactions and contracts entered by the association with other stakeholders must be ratified by the Board of Trustees of the Kenya Pharmaceutical Association.

Conclusion;

The Central Council will Institute disciplinary action against you Mr Peter Atandi Mogere, through the KPA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee, The Pharmacy and Poisons Board Ethics and Disciplinary Committee and/or criminal charges through the office of the Director of Criminal Investigations for any criminal charges involving the KPA SACCO, KPA National CPD • PPS portal payment receipts forgery, and any other criminal charge.
