Man arrested for letting 7-year-old son drive his vehicle in Murang’a

Police in Gatanga, Murang’a County, have arrested a man after his 7-year-old son was captured in a video driving his vehicle.

Ayub Kinyanjui Muigai was arrested by officers from Kirwara Police Station alongside sleuths from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) after the clip went viral.

He is set to be arraigned in court on Tuesday to answer to the offence of permitting a person who is not a holder of a valid driving license to drive a vehicle.

The boy, in the video, is approached and greeted by a man who asks him if he is really the driver of the car, as he is be seen in the driver’s seat, to which he responds with “Yes.”

The man then proceeds to tell him to prove it and the boy drives a few metres ahead, to the man’s amusement.
