David Kiaraho, Zachary Kwenya of Kinangop, Michael Muchira MP Ol Jororok, MP Faith Gitau, and 10 MCAs were recently ejected and barred from a meeting at the county commissioner’s office which President Uhuru Kenyatta was presiding, a move that was seen to send a message to those seen to be against the President. MPs and MCAs aligned to Ruto have been recently subjected to heavy scrutiny from the government as the BBI Row heightens.

Late last year, Kiaraho was put on the spot by parents in his constituency after funds from a fundraiser which was held to deliver desks to schools in the constituency where DP Ruto is reported to have donated Ksh1 million went missing. The parents reportedly raised more than Ksh2 million with the area MP also said to have pledged Sh11 million

The MP, who had been summoned at EACC’s Nyeri regional office in Nyeri was asked to record a statement over several accusations that range from fraud, conflict of interest, embezzlement, and misappropriation of funds.

The crimes allegedly occurred between 2013 and 2018.

According to his official social media pages, he has launched one CDF project in his constituency since his re-election in 2017. These are 12 new classrooms, a school library and an administration block at the Kamande Primary School which was conducted in collaboration with NG-CDF and several donors namely TTS group LTD, Stephen Clark, Ardingly College from England and Cosy Ltd trustees in 2018

In the 2016/2017 financial year, the MP said he used all the funds from the NG-CDF fund to build a dog kennel for Ol Kalou Police Station.
