Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has finally broken his silence speaking about his near-death experience yesterday during the Juja constituency by-elections.
The vocal legislator was on the ground overseeing the elections while supporting supporting his People’s Empowerment Party (PEP) candidate George Koimburi when he escaped death by a whisker.
According to Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata a confrontation ensued where Kuria found himself in the mix in which the law enforcers were forced to fire in the air.
Taking to social media later, the Tanga Tanga Member of Parliament thanked God for the gift of life while sharing his harrowing experience.
“This tragic story of 18th May 2021 will require a lot of energy to tell. It will be told for generations to come. For now all we can say is at this hour 3.42am on 19th May 2021, we are still stuck at the Mangu High School. We are not sure when we will leave this centre. That we escaped death by a whisker last evening is the most vivid proof that God is indeed still in the throne. We need your prayers above all else” Wrote Moses Kuria.
This comes shortly after Kang’ata took to Twitter appealing for help while noting that the police were firing shots in the air.
The ruling party faced off with the People’s Empowerment Party (PEP) with George Koimburi christened the hustler candidate against Susan Waititu the Jubilee’s.
Kuria also louded IEBC chair Chebukati stating that “Juja Update From Mangu: Chebukati has refused State House orders to stop the count. Tallying to resume shortly”.
In other related news, UDA party emerged victorious in the Rurii ward by elections trouncing other parties.
In Bonchari mini polls ODM’s former energy and petroleum boss Engineer Pavel Oimeke also trounced Jubilee’s Zebedeo Opore.
