Narok Senator Ledama Olekina has in the wake of the first coronavirus report in Kenya blamed the lack of strict land-use policy as the reason for the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Taking to Twitter, the senator who has been very vocal about land subdivision in Narok County said the virus can easily be dealt with should Kenyans stop dividing agricultural land and turning it into slums
Corona Virus can be stopped from spreading in Kenya if we adhere to strict land use policy! No more subdividing lands and creating slums in every part of kenya.

The senator who has in the recent past been arrested in Nairobi over hate speech had earlier stated that the County of Narok would not be approving change of user applications if the use of purchased land was not of agricultural use.
“So be WARNED Agricultural land is Agricultural land and not for gerrymandering or exploitation. Buy the Land and use it for Agriculture not plots.” Olekina said.
