A security guard was yesterday murdered and goods worth hundreds of thousands stolen from a shop he was manning.
The guard who belonged to the Chakra Security Company was allegedly murdered by thugs who had raided the shop located along Nyamasaria Kondele Bypass.
Police say that the gang of robbers entered the shop at around 4am and attacked the middle age man who was manning the shop with a sharp object killing him on the spot.
“They first tied their hands in the back before attacking them with sharp objects. One died on the spot while the other one was left with serious injuries,” said the police.
His colleague was however left with serious injuries. He was rushed to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital for treatment.
The body of the slain thug was later picked and taken to JOORTH morgue.
Investigations into the killings have commenced.
