The Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) has published a statement that the agency has lost one of its senior-most staff and director.
In a statement to media, KEMRI announced that Kamau Mugenda, who before his demise was the Director of Corporate Services had kicked the bucket
Kamau Mugenda passed away on Sunday, August 9 after reportedly developing some stomach complications.
Yesterday, KEMRI stated in a statement that it had lost Kamau Mugenda, the Director of Corporate Services.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr Kamau Mugenda, Director of Corporate Services KEMRI. He was an astute leader of great foresight, courage & dedication. His professionalism & leadership has left an indelible mark in the history of KEMRI,” KEMRI stated.
Even though the cause of his death was not revealed, sources close to the director stated that the deceased allegedly complained of multiple stomach disorders for over two weeks.
“Yes, he had lamented over stomach pains for some time and had been diagnosed with H Pylori,” the source intimated.
