Simba to face Kaizer Chiefs in CAF champions league quarter finals – KBC

Tanzania’s Simba Sc will meet South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs in CAF champions league quarter final matches following the draw conducted by the Confederation of African Football,CAF.

Simba finished top of group A ahead of defending champions Al Ahly to stay on course of equaling their 1974 performance, when they last  reached the semi finals of the championship.

Kaizer Chiefs qualified for their first quarter final of the competition on goal difference ahead of Horoya Fc of Guinea from group C which was topped by Wydad Casablanca.

Kaizer Chiefs will host Simba in the first leg   scheduled May 14^th with the second leg planned May 21^st.

Record nine time champions and title holders Al Ahly will face 2016 winners Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa while two time winners Moroccos’s   Wydad Casablanca will face 1976 champions MC Alger of Algeria.

CR Belouizdad of Algeria will face four time winners and 2019 champions Esperance of Tunisia in their last eight debut.

The first leg matches will be played between 14^th and 15^th of next month while the return leg will be held on 21^st and 22^nd same month.

Confederations Cup draws mouth watering quarter final fixtures

The confederations Cup, CAF  secondary club cup competition quarter final draw revealed enticing last eight match ups on card.

Three time winners and record champions CS Faxien will face JS Kabylie of Algeria while 2015 runners up South Africa’s Orlando Piarates is pitted against Raja Casablanca.

Last season’s runner up Egyptian side  Pyramids  will face twice CAF Champions league winners  Enyimba of Nigeria. Coton Sport of Cameroon will face off with Senegal’s Jaraaf debuting in the quarter finals.

The first leg round is scheduled May 16^th with the final set for may 23^rd.
