Uhuru, Ruto exploit poverty for political gains – Opinion

By Cyprian Nyakundi on Twitter

The deliberate financial ruin of young Kenyans is pre-meditated and goes along the thinking of Uhuru with his brother Muhoho.

They’re both understudies of Moi-nomics, under the delusion that poverty is inversely proportional to political subservience.

You only need to look at their family-owned businesses like Brookside to see how mentally depraved someone like Muhoho is. They only trust their former St. Mary’s schoolmates or muzungu expatriates.

Empowering locals is a daunting task for the Kenyatta’s. Their mindset is embedded in the toxic colonial past, where their family profited heavily from our oppression, like the Swiss banks which profited from the Holocaust.

If you remember, Moi had suppressed the mobile telephony industry and it’s only the advent of the Narc Government where Kibaki allowed it to flourish. In the Moi era, cellphones were a privilege of the privileged few.

Today we are seeing a repeat of the same with electricity. KPLC has been cannibalized by Uhuru and Ruto and many have been reduced to beggars, thanks to the arbitrary tariff hikes effected by the two thieves. Young people have lost jobs in droves.

While the energy crisis is the brainchild of William Ruto, Uhuru has been the unintended beneficiary as his mother owns a large chunk of KPLC. Which is why he abetted the bogus undertakings like “last mile”.

During the Moi era, companies would be shut down or forcefully acquired by corrupt government officials, something which is recurring today. Uhuru tried to forcefully acquire Keroche, Humphrey Kariuki’s companies and also Sport Pesa.

Prior to any forceful acquisition, Githeri media and Statehouse bloggers like Alai feed their followers with narratives. For instance, they wanted to steal Keroche’s company under the guise of fighting “illicit brews”.

In the case of Sport Pesa, Githeri bloggers were purporting to “stop gambling” yet the purge was only targeting one company. Meaning that sponsored narratives by bloggers and journalists like Oliver Mathenge should never be trusted.

In this regard, there is absolutely no way that Kenyans should believe the lie that Ruto is now a changed man, who is fighting the “system” or “deep-state”. It’s 2020, you shouldn’t fall for Itumbi’s tweets like upcountry peasants.

Ruto is the system. He has orchestrated the energy crisis which has left many young Kenyans jobless. He is now soliciting cheap sympathy at funerals, whining how he wasn’t the one to read the Presidential speech.

How stupid can Ruto be, that he wants to solicit cheap sympathy using a funeral? Using someone’s death? He was seated at the front, red carpet, has police escort, and now he wants to make you believe he’s in opposition just because of a silly speech?

The Kenyatta’s love Ruto because his mindset of impoverishing the masses largely resonates with their mother’s thinking. Ruto and Uhuru are cut from the same cloth, and mentored by the same Moi criminal. Don’t be duped by silly narratives.
