Victims of fuel tanker accident in Narok burnt beyond recognition

Two victims of tanker have been burnt beyond recognition after their tanker lost control and exploded at around 3am in Narok.

Narok Sub County Police Commander Philip Musyoka said the tanker was over speeding down Mai Mahiu road when it lost control.

The fuel tanker then hit a canter from behind. The canter was transporting books at Ntulele area before it burst into flames.

The driver together with the turn boy succumbed to the flames since they were trapped in the tanker.

Initial investigations by police point that the occupants of the canter escape unhurt but book they were ferrying were burnt to ashes.

The two vehicles were written off and the wrekages towed to Ntulele police station.

The bodies are at the Narok County Hospital Mortuary.
