The tradition of women proposing on February 29 dates back to an agreement in the 5th century, It includes a stipulation that warned men that it was about to happen.

Expecting a man to go down on one knee today is a dying tradition but it still remains that leap year offer women an opportunity to take full control so any woman getting sick of her man dragging his feet, has the best chance in 2020 to speed up wedding plans.

Calenders have 365 days in a year but the earth actually takes roughly 365.25 days to orbit around the sun  and that gives an extra day once every four years to maintain the consistency of things.

This year, 2020, February has 29 days as opposed to 28 and so women around the world should take this to flip the traditional proposal on its head.

The tradition began in the 5th century, an Irish nun St. Bridget was not happy with women having to wait for their men to pull the act together and so she lured St. Patrick to allow women to propose instead and Bridget succeeded in creating a purpose for the day that only comes every four years.

It is however said that the agreement was considered a big women that handed women control after 1,461 days but St. Patrick still weaved in some sort of small requirements in the terms and conditions to warm the heart of sluggish men who were not keen on getting to the alter of what was about to happen.

The rules require women to wear breeches or a scarlet petticoat if they were planning on producing a ring, that gives or gave men a prior notice if they needed to leg it.

A survey of 2,700 people by Lovehoney discovered that that more than a quarter of women would propose on a leap year but over a third find the idea outdated and sexist but 48% remains happy with the dying tradition.

But the society is now rotten that nobody really pays attentions to traditions like this, slay queens don’t propose. People have sex, for money, alcohol or for mere satisfaction, serious relationships are becoming rare. Its money, sex, drugs and alcohol.
