Where is DP Ruto?

As the country faces the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the absence of Deputy President William Ruto in the limelight is something that has raised questions among Kenyans.

The head of state has been making press conferences alone the latest just yesterday when he talked to alleged cured coronavirus patients in the country, a public address that sparked controversy and saw Moses Kuria, Gatundu south lawmaker taking to his Facebook to express concern.

“I think my President is lonely. And I think my President misses his Deputy,” Kuria wrote.

The last we heard of the DP was of a plot to impeach the man, this was after the controversial botched arms deal that ended up with one of his employees dead.

The DP has been sidelined ever since the famous March 2018 handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga.

With politics at the backseat during this pandemic, could it be the reason the DP is nowhere to be seen?
