Yet another Kenyan has today attempted suicide at one of the quarantine centers set up by the Kenyan Government to help combat the novel Coronavirus.
In a video circulation online, the man is seen on a balcony threatening to jump down to his death due to the hefty charges he is accumulating at the facility even though he tested negative.
“Tunafanya nini hapa. Hapa sikai, nimechoka kunyanyaswa. Wananilipisha kitanda tu elfu tatu,” he cries. “what are we doing here. I’m not staying here, I’m tired of the oppression. They are charging me Sh3,000 for a bed.”

Earlier today, a 30-year-old COVID-19 patient allegedly slit his own throat in an attempted suicide while in isolation at the Mbagathi Infectious Disease Unit in Nairobi.
The man had been admitted to the ward on Saturday at about 6 pm and was devastated when he was told he would be quarantined for 14 days.
The patient removed a florescent tube in his room, broke it, and used it to slit his throat.
