Buzeki accused of plotting violence ahead of 2022

The beef between politicians allied to the businessman Bundotich Zedekiah Kiprop-Buzeki and Deputy President Dr. William Ruto has intensified after Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi on Friday accused the businessman cum politician of conducting nocturnal meetings in Eldoret to incite the electorate ahead of the 2022 General Election.

Buzeki, a top aspirant aiming to take over from Governor Jackson Mandago in Uasin Gishu  denied the allegations as mere political witch hunt. He also said that Sudi is already scared two years to the elections.
The outspoken Sudi who is allied to the DP stressed that the businessman should be investigated over the night meetings.

Speaking in Eldoret Town, the lawmaker asked the DCI to probe and find out why Buzeki was holding night meetings in Uasin Gishu.

He also urged resident to shun violence despite the differences among the political class.

The three leaders clashed in a meeting last week when they all argued over backing Ruto in 2022.

That was after Buzeki had engaged Ruto’s aide, Farouk Kibet , in a social media spat over succession politics and the support leaders from Uasin Gishu should give DP Ruto.

Buzeki ditched Jubilee for Isaac Ruto’s Chama Cha Mashinani last year.

The man who ran unsuccessfully  in 2017 reminded the incumbent to do a good job.

“When you retire, I will host a major send off party for you and I will then do a better job in uniting people of Uasin Gishu and ensuing the county is among the best in the country,” Buzeki said.

Buzeki has heightened his political activities in Uasin Gishu as he prepares for another stab at the coveted county seat but Sudi has questioned his capability while Mandogo advised him to stop relying brokers.

Soy MP Caleb Kositany, Kesses MP Swarup Mishra and politician Jonathan Bii are also eying the seat.
