Days after members of the National Assembly overwhelmingly voted in support of the 2010 constitutional amendment bill Soy MP Caleb Kositany has talked, revealing damning details.
Speaking earlier today the Deputy President William Ruto’s defacto spokesman disclosed that he heard of MPs being bribed to vote in support of the BBI bill but could only talk about himself.
The Tanga Tanga ardent legislator added
that he was approached by half a million to pass the same bill, but turned it
down because his clear conscience could not allow him to do so.
He added that his bribe price was raised to
half a million with an additional 400,000 contrary to the 100, 000 other lawmakers
were given because he is premium.
“I’m not sure, I also heard that there was money, but one thing I can confirm is that I was given an offer that I am premium I would not be given Sh100,000, my price was Sh500,000 of which I declined because that amount with my conscience would not allow…. I don’t know whether others were offered,” said Kositany.

Asked on who approached him with the offer by Citizen’s Sam Gituku, Kositany noted that that would remain a secret while asking Sam to just remain satisfied with the answer.
“You have asked me a question I have answered you should be satisfied with what I have said,” responded Caleb Kositany.
The sentiments came just days after the Deputy
President William Ruto allied Tanga Tanga faction members betrayed the DP and
their earlier stand while voting in support of the bill.
